Victor "Vic" Stone was an excellent football player and had been offered full-ride scholarships by several universities that wanted him to play for them. His father, Silas Stone, felt that football was pointless and was consumed in his work for S.T.A.R. Labs. Vic was always disappointed when his dad would break his promises to come to one of his games.
Origin
When Darkseid and his Parademons attacked Earth, Vic was visiting his father in his lab when the Mother Box that Silas had been studying exploded, opening a Boom Tube and mortally injuring Vic. Silas, desperate to save Vic's life, took his son to the Red Room and injected him with an experimental technology. This technoloy saved Vic's life and turned him into the Cyborg. Vic later meets Aquaman, Batman, the Flash, Green Lantern, Superman and Wonder Woman then joined them in fighting the Parademons and Darkseid. Cyborg was key to opening up the Boom Tubes so that Batman and Superman could escape Darkseid's world and then send Darkseid back. When his computers failed to shut the Boom Tubes, Batman encouraged him to take control and shut them himself. He succeeded and in doing this also disable the Mother Boxes, preventing another invasion in the near future. After defeating Darkseid, Vic joined the others in forming the Justice League.
